Following yesterday's disappointing news that a Dog Soldiers 2 is officially off the table, director Neil Marshall has revealed that while Dog Soldiers may be no more, he's not out of the werewolf game entirely.
Speaking again on his official instagram, The Descent and The Lair director shared a poster for something titled The Werewolves of London, with the following caption:
Since I dropped such a clanger last night, I thought Iโd give fans a little moonlight at the end of the tunnel todayโฆ. As I hinted at in a few of my comments, while I do not have the rights to make a Dog Soldiers sequel, thereโs nothing to stop me making another werewolf movieโฆ. Which is exactly what I intend to do.
Itโs early days and Iโm not giving away any plot details just yet, the plan is to bring as many of the original team back for this as possible, and then all we need is the money to make it!
The tagline for The Werewolves of London reads that the project is currently “in development”, which is hugely promising news, along with Marshall's tease that the “original team” may be returning – whether this means cast or crew is yet unknown.
Could The Werewolves of London see the return of Dog Soldiers‘ Kevin McKidd as a Private Cooper in all but name? Only time will tell.
We'll bring you any more updates as they roll in. Check out Neil's original post below:
