Pictureville’s FATAL FEMMES Season Celebrates Halloween With Female-Focused Screenings

The largest independent cinema in Yorkshire will play host to a 35mm print of SUSPIRIA, a 4K restoration of CARRIE and much more.

This Halloween, horror fans in the north of England can head to Bradford's National Science and Media Museum for Fatal Femmes, a season of screenings celebrating and paying tribute to women in horror and classic female-fronted horror movies.

From 25 October to 2 November, Fatal Femmes will present a mixture of cult classics and temporary horror favorites to Pictureville, Yorkshire's biggest independent cinema.

Among the line-up is a special Halloween Night double bill of Dario Argento's Suspiria presented on gorgeous 35mm, and a 4K restoration of Brian De Palma's Carrie.

Also hitting the Pictureville screen is a double bill celebration of one of the UK's most talented female filmmakers, Rose Glass, with Saint Maud and Love Lies Bleeding playing on 2 November.

Additionally, the Fatal Femmes event will present the witchy cult classic The Craft, the classic psychological thriller Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? and Robert Eggers' eerie folk horror The Witch.

Per an official press release:

Fatal Femmes celebrates the powerful, and often terrifying, ways women have shaped horror over the last 60 years. With a selection of titles examining chilling themes such as obsession, secrecy and revenge, horror fans are invited to immerse themselves in a chilling exploration of femininity and fear.
