Filming recently wrapped on Heart Eyes, the next film from director Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within), written by Phillip Murphy (The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard), Chris Landon and Michael Kennedy (Freaky), and today comes word that Sony will release the Spyglass-produced, Valentine's Day-themed film on February 07, 2025. Makes sense!
We’re excited for this one, as it’s not only directed by our pal Ruben and co-written by the team behind Freaky, but produced by co-writer Landon and Divide/Conquer’s Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks (M3GAN). It stars Olivia Holt (Totally Killer), Mason Gooding (the last couple Screams) and Gigi Zumbado (Run Sweetheart Run). Joining the young folks are genre veterans Devon Sawa and Jordana Brewster.
The film concerns a notorious serial killer of couples, and a pair of co-workers who are mistaken as an item by the slasher, and who must spend Valentine's Day running for their lives. The studio describes it as a “romantic comedy horror,” and we’re expecting great things from this team.
