This year’s Telluride Horror Show is coming up soon, and now we know exactly what to expect from the Colorado-based film festival when it arrives next week. They’ve just unveiled the full lineup for the event, featuring plenty of exciting films, unique events, and special guests that’ll make your skin crawl with delight.
Highlights from this year’s film programming include Erie, Ghost in the Cell, Breeder, The Cycle, and Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant, as well as the highly anticipated Victorian Psycho, the festival’s closing-night film. Telluride will also be showcasing a number of “horror vault” films, including the documentary Black Zombie, the Adams Family’s Blood and Guts, and 1980’s Night of the Demon, one of many Bigfoot-themed films playing at this year’s event.
2026’s shorts blocks are inspired by vintage horror comic books, with names like Chamber of Horror, Forbidden Worlds, Sinister Stories, and Weird-Ass Tales. Of the nearly forty shorts playing at this year’s festival, audiences can spot titles like Udders!, Vape Glow, Dagnabbit!, and The Pigs Underneath, as well as a thirtieth anniversary screening of Season’s Greetings, the short that introduced Trick ‘r Treat’s Sam to the world.

Every year, Telluride also hosts a number of special guests, including a number of authors chosen to celebrate the literary side of horror. This year’s guest writers include Nat Cassidy, Tananarive Due, Steven Barnes, Eric LaRocca, and CJ Leede, all of whom will sit down with longtime host Jeremy Robert Johnson for readings, book signings, and more.
But that’s not all the special guests the festival has in store. This year, Fango’s own Meredith Borders, BJ Colangelo, and Brian W. Collins join Bloody Disgusting’s Meagan Navarro as guest hosts, bringing their deep love of the genre to Telluride’s stages throughout the event. Borders will also be joined by director Ernest Dickerson for a conversation about First In Fright: The FANGORIA Compendium, alongside a screening of Dickerson’s film Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight.
The Telluride Horror Show runs from October 16-18 in Colorado. For information on tickets, you can check out their website. Check out the full lineup below:
