Soho Horror Film Festival returns for its ninth edition this November, with today bringing the reveal of the London-based fest's eclectic first wave of features.

From November 20 to 22nd, Soho Horror Film Festival will take over the  cinematic speakeasy, the Coldharbour Blue Cinema in Brixton, while the fully accessible online edition Sohome Horror Film Festival will run from November 26 – 29. Day passes, individual film ticket and the virtual event passes will go on sale in October.

Highlights of this year's in-person fest include the UK Premiere of Russell Goldman’s Sender, which stars Severance‘s Britt Lower as a woman who, after receiving a series of packages containing unnervingly personal items, spirals down a paranoid rabbit hole to try and unveil her mysterious sender. Genre fave David Dastmalchian, Pluribus‘ Rhea Seehorn, and scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis also star.

Also having its UK Premiere at Soho Horror Film Festival this year is Godhead from director Mark H Rapaport, in which a lonely priest's sanctuary is upended one afternoon by a pair of strange twins intent on using him as a pawn in their divine mission, when one of them claims to be the holy spirit.

Fittingly for a virtual festival, Sohome Horror Film Festival will host the Online Premiere of Kyle Mangione Smith’s Compliance. The paranoid found-footage thriller centers on Sam Cornell (Megan Wilcox), a young crisis manager for tech start up UVisit, has been tasked with cleaning up the fallout from a sexual assault scandal that threatens to undo a multi-million dollar deal.

Other premieres at Sohome Horror Film Festival include the European Premiere of Sean Nichols Lynch's This House is Totally Haunted, the sequel to 2024's The Ceremony is about to Begin, and the Online Premiere of Katie Green and Carlye Rubin Blood & Guts, a feature documentary/fly-on-the-wall biopic of independent filmmaking powerhouses, the Adams Family (Hellbender, Mother of Flies).

An Adams Family Movie Night is also on the slate, with Sohome hosting a rare screening of one of the teams early films, and a unique live commentary – Mystery Science Theatre style – from John, Toby, Zelda and Lulu on a surprise film that they hold close to their hearts.

Soho Horror Film Festival's full 75+ film lineup will be revealed in early October. “Early Bird” festival passes that give full access to both the in-person and online festival are on sale now via their website.
