We’re getting our Evil Dead fix a little earlier than we anticipated, it seems. Bloody Disgusting is reporting that the new teaser for Evil Dead Burn, playing in front of Evil Dead Rise director Lee Cronin’s new film The Mummy, reveals that the upcoming film will be coming to theaters two weeks earlier than originally planned, on July 10.

Evil Dead Burn was originally set to premiere on July 26, as the only major release that week. While it’s unknown why Burn would be moving up two weeks, the likely answer is to avoid opening in the midst of the theatrical run for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which premieres on July 17. Now, its only competition in its opening weekend will be the live-action Moana starring Dwayne Johnson, and unless you really want to get your kids started early on horror films, it’s unlikely that one film will steal any moviegoers from the other.

Evil Dead Burn is directed by Infested helmer Sébastien Vaniček, and stars Souheila Yacoub, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, and George Pullar. Plot details are being kept heavily under wraps, though Bloody reports that the new teaser features “a killer unbroken shot of a young woman attempting to escape from a house that seems to be absolutely infested with Deadites, with torn up bodies dropping all around her.” Classic Evil Dead chaos, truly.

But that’s not the only thing in store for Sam Raimi’s beloved franchise. Another installment, this one titled Evil Dead Wrath, is being directed by Francis Galluppi, and hits theaters on April 7, 2028. We have even fewer details about that film than we do about Burn, but if one thing’s clear, it’s this: the Deadites aren’t going anywhere any time soon.

Evil Dead Burn now opens in theaters on July 10.
