Chucky star Fiona Dourif is the latest to join A Head Full of Ghosts, the upcoming adaptation of Paul Tremblay's Bram Stoker Award-winning horror novel of the same name, joining previously announced stars David Harbour (Stranger Things) and Rebecca Hall (Godzilla vs. Kong).
Directed by Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (Goodnight Mommy, The Lodge, The Devil's Bath), a Head Full of Ghosts follows a suburban family whose life is torn apart when their teenage daughter’s decent into madness becomes the subject of a reality show. Fifteen years later, her sister Merry faces her family’s dark past with a journalist uncovering the nature of the evil force that undid them.
Esmé Creed-Miles (Hanna), Bodhi Rae Breathnach (Hamnet, Robert Eggers' upcoming Werwulf) and newcomer Hollie Hill-Pearson also star in the upcoming pic, with Hill-Pearson playing young Merry, Creed-Miles will portraying the character as an adult, Breathnach as her older teenage sister Marjorie, and Dourif and Harbour playing the parents, per Variety.
Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey produce the film for Team Downey, with Lionsgate recently acquiring from Fifth Season.
While Dourif is currently starring in medical drama The Pitt, us horror fans of course know her best as the daughter of Mr Charles Lee Ray himself, the one and only Brad Dourif, and as the Child's Play franchise's Nica Pierce, who made appearances in Curse of Chucky, Cult of Chucky, and SyFy's sadly-cancelled aforementioned Chucky series.
No release date has been set for A Head Full of Ghosts. Stay tuned to FANGORIA for more updates.
