Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie is trading hockey for horror in a new campaign short by 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple director Nia DaCosta.

The film ad for Verizon, titled Look Behind You, sees Storrie go full slasher movie as he arrives at a secluded cabin (or cottage…) in the woods, where it seems he's being watched by a mysterious, raincoat-clad figure in the dark. In true horror style, the lights go out, the eerie phone calls begin, and the tension amps up.

It's only after a few choice closeups of Storrie's starring backside that the nature of the ad reveals itself. While we wouldn't usually be urging you to watch a commercial in your precious free time, Storrie and DaCosta's involvement should be enough to sway you. Check it out here:

Storrie isn't the only Heated Rivalry breakout moving into genre – his co-star Hudson Williams has recently signed on for the witchy seriesYaga and a role alongside Send Help‘s Dylan O'Brien in twisted thriller Apparatus. Candyman director DaCosta is coming off of the aforementioned 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which was a critical hit earlier this year.

Here's what Storrie has to say of Look Behind You in a new statement:

“From the concept to execution, this was an incredibly collaborative and creatively fulfilling experience […] Verizon is a brand that really understands storytelling and culture, so they fully leaned into the idea. And working with visionary director Nia DaCosta took everything to another level.”

DaCosta adds:

“I had such a great time working with Connor and making this spot for Verizon,” DaCosta said. “The team was amazing and we had so much fun bringing this to life.”

Now that Storrie has proved his horror chops, we'd love to see him in a full length feature, and we have a few in mind. He'd be a great fit for Patrick Bateman in Luca Guadagnino's upcoming American Psycho remake, for one. We could also see Storrie in a vampire movie, and with his classic good looks and curly locks, he'd be a dead ringer for Lestat. A24/NEON, get this man on the phone please.
