Ready to talk to the hand again? Production is now underway on an upcoming series based on the Philippou Brothers' 2022 horror hit Talk to Me. Don't expect to see this on streamers or television though, as the show is being created exclusively for Metaโ€™s immersive VR devices.

Directed by Craig William Macneill (Them, The Terror) and written by Trent Atherton (The Wheel), with Darren Brandl (The Girl in the Woods) serving as showrunner and exec producing for XRTV, the untitled, six-episode Talk to Me seriesย is set during a thrill-seeking weekend in Ibiza, exploring the lingering fallout of supernatural contact through a new ensemble of characters.

The cast of the new immersive series, revealed by Deadline earlier today, includes Aubri Ibrag (The Buccaneers), Charlotte Maggi (Rebel Moon), Sofia Hublitz (Ozark), and Julio Peรฑa (Berlin) in series regular roles, with Charlie Hiscock (Ted Lasso) and Raff Law (Masters of the Air) joining in recurring roles. A full logline reads:

Estranged friends Lauryn (Ibrag) and Keeley (Maggi) reunite with socialite Blake (Hublitz), alongside two British best mates (Hiscock and Law) who supply them with party drugs sourced from an island dealer (Peรฑa). But what begins as a reckless escape quickly escalates when the group is introduced to a high like no otherโ€ฆ.

Danny and Michael Philippou executive produce for Blue Bear, with Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton (Talk to Me, The Babadook) executive producing for Causeway Films, and Andreas Michael Wentz and Juan Antonio Cano Trujillo for Sur Film. Jack Davis is also exec producing for XRTV, with Jeff Rich producing for Meta.

Following its premiere at Sundance back in 2022,ย Talk to Me, which stars Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Zoe Terakes and Joe Bird as teenagers whoย conjure spirits temporarily using an embalmed hand, was a huge hit for A24, racking up over $90 million in worldwide box office returns and marking the Philippous, formerly known best as YouTube stars RackaRacka, as a hot horror name to watch – a title they certainly lived up to with their 2025 follow up, the FANGORIA Chainsaw Award-winning Bring Her Back.

Look out for more on the newย Talk to Me series, plus the Philippou's delayed sequel, as we get it.
