Following its World Premiere at last year's Fantastic Fest, Shudder has unveiled a new trailer for Dolly, the upcoming New French Extremity and '70s horror-inspired bloodbath from director Rod Blackhurst (Here Alone, Night Swim).

The backwoods slasher stars Fabianne Therese (John Dies at the End), Seann William Scott (Righteous Gemstones, American Pie franchise), Ethan Suplee (The Wolf of Wall Street, American History X, My Name Is Earl) and NWA TV Champion Max the Impaler as the titular Dolly.

In Dolly, a young woman, Macy, fights for survival after being abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise her as its child. The pic is based on Blackhurst's 2022 short film, Babygirlย (no, not that one).

In our review, Brandon Wainerdi called Dollyeverything youโ€™re looking for in a modern slasher“. In a previous director's statement, Blackhurst called the pic “a renewed investment in our ethos as filmmakers, our proud tribe of misfits, and our families, especially our children, who I hope never meet a life sized, blood-soaked doll in the woods.”

Dolly hits theaters on March 6 via Independent Film Company and Shudder. Check out the new trailer and poster below, and for more on Dolly, make sure to grab the upcoming issue of FANGORIA for our exclusive profile on the slasher.
