The Telluride Horror Show is back for its fifteenth edition, and the official lineup is absolutely bonkers. Bringing in some of the best and brightest in contemporary horror, the festival in the mountains of Colorado is set to kick off next week, and we now have a better look at exactly whatโs going to be screening for fans who are making their way out west.
The festival is highlighted by screenings of highly anticipated films like The Rule of Jenny Pen, starring Geoffrey Rush and John Lithgow, Daddyโs Head, Dead Talentsโ Society, and Jimmy & Stiggs, among many other titles. Itโll also feature the North American premiere of the Irish film Frรฉwaka, and a screening of Get Away, written by Nick Frost and co-starring comedian Aisling Bea. Thereโll also be a handful of special presentations, including a screening of the 1986 colorized version of George A. Romeroโs Night of the Living Dead, as well as Steven Soderberghโs Presence closing out the festival courtesy of NEON, and Patrick Brice bringing the first three episodes of The Creep Tapes to the festival and after they were received by a rave crowd at Fantastic Festโs final secret screening.
But itโs not just about the full-length films: theyโve also got a killer set of shorts ready to be screened. Split into five blocks, including โBumps in the Night,โ โSpellbound,โ โSquirm,โ โUncanny Tales,โ and โVault of Humor,โ the festival will be hosting forty shorts from around the world, as well as a couple of US and world premieres, including Off Cuts, Mr. Sunshine, and Masks.
Theyโve also got a handful of special guests whoโll be present at the festival. Jon Davison, producer of Starship Troopers and RoboCop, will be showing a variety of films on 16mm at the WIlkinson Public Library as the festivalโs Vault Keeper, and theyโve also got a hell of a list of guest authors attending for various engagements, including Rachel Harrison, Grady Hendrix, Jeremy Robert Johnson, Stephen Graham Jones, Daniel Kraus, and Paul Tremblay. All will be available for conversations and book signings, as well as appearing at Tellurideโs popular Creepy Campfire Tales, where theyโll share excerpts from their work at the beloved opening night tradition.
The Telluride Horror Showโs fifteenth edition will run from October 11-13 in Telluride, Colorado. Passes can be purchased at the festivalโs website, where you can find more info about the festivalโs events and screenings, and you can check out the full film lineup below:
