Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Wayans, aka the Wayans Brothers, are set to return for Scary Movie 6 this summer, with the comedy-horror pic hitting theaters on June 12. With star duo Anna Faris and Regina Hall confirmed to return, all that's left to do while we wait is speculate on which other horror movies are going to get the spoof treatment in a series that has parodied everything fromย Ju-On toย Signs.
We already know thatย aย Terrifier parody is on the cards inย Scary Movie 6, withย Sleepaway Camp scream queen Felissa Rose confirming her involvement. But what other horror titles released in the 13 years since Scary Movie 5ย are going to get lovingly poked fun of by the Wayans and co.? We've got some ideas.

Pearl
Mia Goth in PEARL (Credit: A24) We can say with confidence that Anna Faris was put on this earth to spoof Ti West'sย Pearl. Faris' natural ability to convey ditziness would work perfectly when it comes to capturing the naivety of Mia Goth's titular psychotic farm girl, and you just know she'd absolutely tear up the boards spoofing that iconic audition scene, and she's already got the ideal pearly whites and a big wide grin to nail the unnerving final scene.
Of course, this being a Scary Movie pic too, you know the Wayans are going to go to town spoofing that scarecrow sex scene, and we probably won't be able to look at a cornfield the same way ever again.
Hereditary
Ari Aster's HEREDITARY (Credit: A24) Few films have had as much of an impact on the modern horror world as Ari Aster'sย Hereditary, and so we can't imagineย Scary Movie 6 will pass up the chance to make fun of Toni Collette's iconic I Am Your Mother speech, Charlie getting her head yeeted off by a telephone pole, a sรฉance gone horribly wrong, or a bunch of elderly naked folk hanging out in an attic.
Aย Hereditary spoof seems as written on the wall as Charlie's creepy demonic phrases, so all we need to do now is speculate on who'll take on which scenes. While Anna Faris is the obvious choice for Collette's Annie, we know Brenda Meeks has a mouth for the ages, so this could well be Regina Hall's role to lose.
Get Out
Daniel Kaluuya in Jordan Peele's GET OUT (Credit: Blumhouse) We'd put cold, hard cash on Jordan Peele'sย Get Out being one of the first horrors on the chopping block for Scary Movie 6, and we thought that before Marlon Wayans even teased it could be a possibility. The 2017 Oscar-winning horror has no shortage of scenes to spoof, from the iconic hypnosis sequence to the terrifying silent auction.
We also know that the Wayans are more than adept at tackling the topic of race with heavy-handed hilarity (White Chicks, anyone?), so we can't wait to see what they do with the Armitage family, particularly the performative ally father, Dean.
The Substance
THE SUBSTANCE (Credit: MUBI) Afterย The Substance‘s Oscar-winning rampage through the horror zeitgeist in 2024, there's no way the satirical, slimy body horror hasn't secured itself a spot in Scary Movie 6. We can easily see Cindy bowing to the pressures of expected beauty standards and getting herself a dose of the titular bright green goo, with disastrous consequences.
Part of Scary Movie‘s has always been leaning into low-budget practical effects (Scary Movie 2‘s skeleton scene is a prime example), so we would expect to see a grotesquely hilarious rubber suit involved with Cindy's transformation.
The Witch
THE WITCH (Credit: A24) Robert Eggers' The Witch celebrates its tenth anniversary of being one of modern horror's biggest game-changers this year, so there's no better time to spoof it.ย Scary Movie 6 could have a lot of fun with the folk horror angle, akin toย The Village spoof ofย Scary Movie 4.
Plus, you just know the Wayans would have a field day with the character of Black Philip, making the talking billy goat as vulgar and foul-mouthed as possible.
Longlegs
LONGLEGS (Credit: NEON) Oz Perkins' serial killer thrillerย Longlegs is already on the list for parody in Scary Movie 6, per Marlon Wayans, so we're extra hype to hear how exactly NEON's highest-grossing horror movie is going to be included.
The spoofability inย Longlegs is rife, with Nic Cage's titular creep being one of the creepiest and most instantly recognizable villains in modern horror. We'd love to see Dave Sheridan take a break from Officer Doofy, don the ratty white wig and serenade us with what will surely be an excruciating and hilarious rendition of “Let Me In Now”.
The Babadook
THE BABADOOK (Credit: Umbrella Entertainment) The mother of the modern ‘grief horror' trend, it's hard to imagine thatย Scary Movie 6, which has always been on the cutting edge of horror trends and tropes, won't spoof Jennifer Kent's The Babadook at least a little bit. Whether it's a set piece involving an insufferably screaming child in a car or a top-hatted boogeyman tormenting Cindy and Brenda,ย The Babadook is sure to make an appearance. You can't get rid of him, after all.
It's also common knowledge that The Babadook himself is an icon among the queer community and an LGBTQ+ icon, so we can easily imagine that coming into play somehow (although let's hope in a more socially responsible way than some of the pastย Scary Movies!)
Talk to Me
Sophie Wilde in the Philippou Brothers' TALK TO ME (Credit: A24) A24 has already leaned into marketing the spirit-summoning hand fromย Talk to Me as a smoking device, which meansย Scary Movie 6‘s prop department already has on one hand (heh) for what is surely one of the horror-comedy's most expected gags, and we'd put money on it now that the hand will be used for all kinds of unsavory activities outside of just smoking.
The Philippou Brothers' much-lauded debut has a ton of other easily spoofable scenes that could turn from disturbing to downright bad taste (complimentary) in the hands of the Wayans Brothers. Remember that dog scene? No way that's not coming back.
Malignant
James Wan's MALIGNANT (Credit: Warner Bros. Pictures) We as a society moved on from Malignant too quickly, if you ask us. Released at the height of the pandemic, James Wan's campy supernatural slasher was denied its chance at becoming a box office buster, which we firmly believe it easily could have had.
Scary Movie 6 has the chance to bringย Malignant back into conversation, and help secure its deserved status as a cult classic. The prison cell showdown in which Gabriel breaks free from his cranial prison and goes absolutely apeshit is one of many that desperately needs the Wayans Brothers treatment.
Weapons
WEAPONS (Credit: New Line Cinema) With her garish wig and clownish makeup, Amy Madigan's Oscar-nominated turn as Aunt Gladys in Zach Cregger's Weaponsย is just begging for a spoof, as are the hordes of Naruto-running children. There's plenty of fun too to be had with Gladys' witchy rituals of hair and twigs, not to mention the copious amounts of soup that poor little Alex (Cary Christopher) was forced to eat in the multi-story horror epic.
There's no way the Wayans Bros are going to be able to resist taking on the scene in which Benedict Wong's Principle Miller runs full-throttle at the camera with his arms flailing and eyes bulging out of his head.
M3GAN
M3GAN (Credit: Blumhouse) M3GAN 2.0 might have been a box office flop but the miniature android maniac has the chance to redeem herself with a cameo inย Scary Movie 6. With her meme-ability and experience with going viral, the Wayans would be silly not to get Miss M3GAN and her dance moves involved in the upcoming horror-comedy pic, even if it's to make fun of how badly she missed the mark in her own sequel.
We never did get aย Child's Play/Chucky spoof in the Scary Movies of yore, soย M3GAN is the next best thing. Unless, of course, they both end up going head to head.
28 Years Later
28 YEARS LATER (Credit: Columbia Pictures) When Danny Boyle'sย 28 Years Later raged onto screens back in 2025, it was immediately memed to death for two reasons; 1. the, ahem, noticeable appendage of newly-introduced infected Samson (Chi Lewis-Parry), and 2. the introduction of Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell) commanding a group of Jimmy Savile-dressed ninja ruffians adept in parkour, both moments which provide more than enough spoofable material.
We're expecting things to get a little low-brow inย Scary Movie 6, and what's more low-brow than dick jokes? Not a whole lot. Throw in a nod toย 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple‘s Ralph Fiennes Iron Maiden showdown and you've got a parody for the ages on your hands.
Scream
SCREAM 6 (Credit: Radio Silence) Now, this one's a no-brainer, seeing asย Scream was one of the first horror movies parodied by theย Scary Movie series and has become its flagship spoof mascot, as it were. The nameย Scary Movie even comes from Wes Craven's original title for the 1996 slasher, after all, and Dave Sheridan has already confirmed Ghostface's return. But so much has changed with the Scream franchise from the lastย Scary Movie film that there's a bunch of new material for the Wayans to work with.
The modern era ofย Scream, which started with Radio Silence's 2022 requel Scream and continues most recently with Scream 7 ,ย is chock-full of spoofable material, and we can easily see the Wayans getting extra meta with it, referencing upon referencing upon referencing until the characters of Scary Movie 6 don't know what movie they're in anymore.
