As if Maika Monroe hasnโt already unsettled us enough with her recent outings in films like Longlegs, sheโs back again โ but this time, to creep us out for a different reason. IFC Films has just released the first teaser trailer for 100 Nights of Hero, Monroeโs new film with Nosferatu star Emma Corrin that sets her on a strange path of mixed-up emotions and even stranger houseguests.
Written and directed by Julia Jackman, the film is based on Isabel Greenbergโs graphic novel The One Hundred Nights of Hero, and stars Corrin and Monroe alongside Nicholas Galitzine, Amir El-Masry, Charli XCX, Richard E. Grant, Safia Oakley-Green, Christopher Fairbank, Varade Sethu, Tom Stourton, Markella Kavenagh, Bijan Daneshmand, and Felicity Jones. The filmโs logline is as follows:
When her neglectful husband departs after placing a secret wager to test her fidelity, Cherry (Monroe) and her sharp-witted maid, Hero (Corrin), must fend off a dangerously seductive visitor: Manfred (Galitzine).
100 Nights of Hero, produced by Stephanie Aspin, Helen Simmons, and Grant S. Johnson, will have its world premiere at this yearโs Venice Criticsโ Week, featuring as their closing night film on September 6.
