Peaches Christ Productions is self-distributing ALL ABOUT EVIL, directed by Joshua Grannell, the alter-ego of San Francisco drag performer Peaches Christ. Confirmed to hit over 20 markets, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, the film will be presented with the Peaches Christ Experience in 4-D for select cities. A gore-worthy pre-show hosted by Peaches Christ with the Midnight Mass players, these film events will also feature appearances by special guests.

Currently lensing in Queens, NY, FORECLOSURE is an independent genre feature that draws inspiration from the current, very real terrors of the housing crisis. And its makers are now inviting people who have experienced them first-hand to share their experiences.

Anchor Bay Films has acquired North American rights to Marcos Efron’s remake of Robert Fuest’s 1970 British chiller AND SOON THE DARKNESS. The new film stars Amber Heard (ZOMBIELAND), Odette Yustman (CLOVERFIELD), Karl Urban (PATHFINDER) and Adriana Barraza (DRAG ME TO HELL).

By now, plenty of fans out there have seen the cult-fave schlocker TROLL 2 numerous times. But probably no one has viewed it more than its star, George Hardy, who’s also the centerpiece of BEST WORST MOVIE (opening today in New York City, with more playdates to follow), the documentary about TROLL 2’s fervent following and its impact on those involved.

It sounds more like a psychological thriller than all-out horror, but JACK does center on a serial killer with amnesia—and it’s being directed by Brad Anderson (SESSION 9, THE MACHINIST, MASTERS OF HORROR, FEAR ITSELF).

At first glance, it’s tempting to refer to THE NEW DAUGHTER (arriving on DVD and Blu-ray May 18) as young actress Ivana Baquero’s English-language debut, but such is hardly the case. Although she has spent nearly half of her 15 years before the cameras in her native Spain—often in fright fare—a significant percentage of the bilingual Baquero’s credits have seen her speaking English. THE NEW DAUGHTER does mark her first time in an U.S. production—albeit one directed by a fellow countryman, [REC] co-scripter Luis Berdejo, making his own American debut.

The director of X-CROSS, YO-YO GIRL COP and BATTLE ROYALE II has another weird and wacky film on the way.

Just yesterday, it was revealed that Dario Argento is working on a new DRACULA to be filmed in “Stereoscopic 3-D.” Now, it appears that another upcoming vampire revival is going to add an extra dimension.

The culinary chiller BITTER FEAST was the first in the ongoing production pact between Dark Sky Films and Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix, and the former released a couple of photos with the news of the film’s premiere.

Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza’s [REC] 2 is boldly going where its predecessor didn’t go before: to American theaters. Magnolia Pictures opens it in select cities beginning July 9 through its Magnet Releasing arm, and has released a new poster, which you can see below the jump.

Author David Everitt, one of the early pioneering editors of FANGORIA magazine, died last Friday, May 7 at age 57. Everitt, who worked on classic Fango issues #16 to #50 (1981-1985), had been suffering from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (a.k.a. ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease).

Producer Daniel Lewis recently gave Fango an update on the supernatural slasher, MASKERADE (which we last spoke of here) along with a host of exclusive photos. Check it all out below!
