Earlier this month, Variety revealed that viral indie horror Skinamarink will see a theatrical run starting on January 13 2023 – and now you can get yourself tickets for the film everyone’s talking about.

After premiering at Fantasia Film Festival, the #Skinamarink hashtag has attracted 6.8 million views on TikTok and 1.7 million Twitter impressions in the month of November alone. It’s been called ‘the most terrifying movie of the year’, as well as a ‘cursed film’ (which, in horror world, is obviously a good thing).

Skinamarink is the debut feature of Kyle Edward Ball, and is an expansion on his 2020 short Heck. Skinamarink follows:

Two children [who] wake up in the middle of the night to find their father is missing, and all the windows and doors in their home have vanished. To cope with the strange situation, the two bring pillows and blankets to the living room and settle into a quiet slumber party situation. They play well worn videotapes of cartoons to fill the silence of the house and distract from the frightening and inexplicable situation. All the while in the hopes that eventually some grown-ups will come to rescue them. However, after a while it becomes clear that something is watching over them.

Head over to the official Skinamarink website to secure your tickets now and to start your new year off in the most terrifying way.
