This morning, the good folks at Paramount just dropped the final trailer for Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett’s highly-anticipated Scream VI, offering fans one last glimpse at the goods before the film drops into theaters this weekend. It is, as you might expect, still playing its cards close to the vest in terms of spoilers, but what’s here looks like a devilishly good time.

Let’s take a look!

As you can see, and as you surely already know unless you’ve been in a coma for the past six months (if that’s the case, welcome back!), the latest Scream takes the action out of Woodsboro and onto the streets of New York City, which – in this writer’s humble opinion – seems like it should offer a most welcome change of scenery for this long-running and iconic franchise. Ghostface in bodegas. Ghostface on the subway. Ghostface taking out the entire cast of CATS (no, that’s probably not actually in the movie, but a boy can dream). You gonna turn your nose up at that? I’m not!

But what am I saying? You’re FANGORIA readers. You’ve likely already purchased your tickets; you don’t need any further information, and you certainly don’t need me giving you the hard sell. We don’t know precisely what to expect from the latest Scream, but we’re certainly excited to find out in theaters this weekend. See ya there?
