Summer’s on the way, and you know what that means: backyard BBQs, coolers full of beer out by the pool, and rowdy nights spent crowded around dining room tables, killing off your friends one by one as iconic slasher Michael Myers.

OK, fine, maybe that last part isn’t something any of us have been doing, but thanks to the good folks at TrickorTreat Studios, it soon will be.

Halloween-Board-Game-1

Behold, the first tabletop game based on John Carpenter’s Halloween! TrickorTreat Studios describes the game thusly…

“It was the night HE came home… and one player must take on the role of Michael Myers! The others will control Laurie and her friends as they scramble to find weapons, the kids, and a way to escape. Their task will be made more difficult because Myers can only be seen when you’re looking right at him!

This 1 vs Many game by renowned designer Emerson Matsuuchi is the first time the original Halloween movie has been made into its own board game.”

Halloween-Board-Game-2

Intended for 3-4 players, TrickorTreat Studios’ Halloween features awesome artwork from Nathan Thomas Milliner and (as mentioned above) was designed by Emerson Matsuuchi (Metal Gear Solid: The Board Game, Foundations of Rome).

Halloween-Board-Game-3

As you can see, it appears that a lot of work’s gone into making sure all the details are just right here … just look at these character tokens (we call dibs on Dr. Loomis)!

Halloween-Board-Game-4

The Halloween board game is currently available to pre-order (at a price point of $59.95) via TrickorTreat Studios’ official site, and is expected to begin shipping on August 1st. If you want your summer to be bloody, brutal, and tabletop-based, head on over there now to pick up your very own copy. We’ll see you in Haddonfield this summer!
