The Scream franchise is well-known for its hidden Easter eggs and cameos, from Fred the Janitor in 1996’s original to Matthew Lillard’s vocal return in Scream ’22. Thankfully, Scream VI is no different, and is stacked full of references to keep the most eagle-eyed among us busy on our upcoming rewatches – but there’s one you (almost certainly) missed.

In an interview with TheWrap today, directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have revealed that Tim Robinson of I Think You Should Leave fame has a vocal cameo nestled within the slashing and slayings. MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD FOR SCREAM VI .

TheWrap reminds us that:

There’s a moment early in the film when Sam (Melissa Barrera) comes back to the apartment she shares with her sister Tara (Jenna Ortega) and new roomie Quinn (Liana Liberato). Tara isn’t there and she catches Quinn in the middle of a romantic liason. As Quinn and Tara talk outside Quinn’s door, you can hear her lates paramour inside Quinn’s room. That is where Tim Robinson makes his appearance. “He is Quinn’s off-camera boyfriend,” Bettinelli-Olpin confirmed.

So Robinson was the jealous suitor butting in to Quinn and Sam’s conversations! Robinson has done voice work before in Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Ranger and character in Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Plantasm, but now he’s a fully fledged member of the Scream vocal cameo alumni, alongside the aforementioned Matthew Lillard, Drew Barrymore, Henry Winkler and Jamie Kennedy, all of whom leant their vocal talent to Radio Silence’s 2022 Scream.

Given the meta nature of the Scream franchise, is there a chance we could see Robinson return in future instalments? Perhaps Ghostface could throw on a hot dog costume for a change?
