The new short film “Pains” recently made its debut on ALTER. It follows the story of a woman (Emily Bennett) who locks herself away from the world as she fights the demons within her. In spite of her best efforts, the very monster she is trying to hide starts slowly ripping her apart from the inside. “Pains” director Justin Brooks says, “‘Pains’ was again born from Emily and my need to create. To keep creative and keep telling stories. I wanted to explore what madness these transformations we so often see in horror, might bring. What does it look like when someone’s final shred of humanity is taken from them?”
