Free horror movies streaming in February are ready to go for lovers and horror fans. This month includes Valentine's Day, and the free streaming sites haven't forgotten genre fans in love or those who are just romantics at heart.
Pluto shoots an arrow with Only Lovers Left Alive. Crackle has a serial killer tire with a secret crush in Rubber. Popcornflix is back with The Crush, that tale of deadly romantic obsession starring Alicia Silverstone.
Redbox's selection, Crone Wood, has a new couple in love coming to grieve in a strange cabin in the woods. Tubi has more than one film of which Cupid would approve. Warm Bodies, the heartwarming zombie romance, and Hannibal, the tale of a stylish serial killer in love with the FBI profiler trying to unmask him, both fit the bill.
Pluto TV brings only one horror film to the table this month, but what a glorious film it is. The bloodthirsty and most fashionable epic of a pair of married vampires who live on opposite sides of the Earth. This centuries-old nosferatu, who go by Adam and Eve, don't even kill humans for blood anymore and are left in a dispassionate haze.
Director Jim Jarmusch directed this sumptuous horror fable that stars Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Anton Yelchin, Jeffrey Wright, Slimane Dazi, and John Hurt.
Crackle has 13 new films this month, and one of them happens to be the only surrealist horror film about a sentient serial killer tire named Robert. Of course, we're talking about French director Quentin Dupieux's incredible Rubber. As gory as it is funny, this film explodes the genre in a very French way, leaving a trail of gore in a small desert town as the humans scramble to capture something they do not understand.
You'll also find titles like Blood Widow, Lucky Stiff, Honeymoon, and The Hazing on the streaming site. You can download the free Redbox App for Your Mobile, Tablet, Laptop, or Connected TV at any app store to watch these movies.
The Ghosts of Monday
The Long Dark Trail
The Wolf House
Popcornflix has an exclusive this month with the Danny Trejo movie Murder in the Woods. It's the story of a group of college friends discovering the dark secret the cabin in the woods where they spend the weekend holds, forcing them to fight for their lives.
Other films that you can enjoy this month on Popcornflix include The Crush, The Slumber Party Massacre, and Terry O'Quinn as the world's worst dad in The Stepfather. Popcornflix definitely has an app available at any app store for busy horror fans who like to watch scary movies at their leisure.
An Accidental Zombie Named Ted
A Crack in the Floor
A Fantastic Fear of Everything
A Feral World
Murder in the Woods
The Seventh Curse
Redbox has another selection of 13 new movies for February. We're noticing a trend here, but hopefully, that's not too scary for people with Triskaidekaphobia.
One film that stands out is The Attic. It is a direct-to-video title directed by Mary Lambert (Pet Sematary) that stars Elisabeth Moss, Jason Lewis, John Savage, and Catherine Mary Stewart and features one of Alexandra Daddario's earliest screen appearances.
The Redbox lineup also has The Sonata, Alien Predator, and Grave Encounters, a movie that seems to excite discourse among horror fans. Redbox does have an app that you can use to watch scary movies on the go at your favorite app store.
They Don’t Cast Shadows
Ah, yes, Tubi is bringing the fire with Hannibal this month. They have the Internet's favorite "murder husbands" for Valentine's Day; what could be more appropriate?
The series was based on the Thomas Harris novels and created by Bryan Fuller. It stars a magnificent cast, including Hugh Dancy, Mads Mikkelsen, Caroline Dhavernas, Hettienne Park, Laurence Fishburne, Scott Thompson, Aaron Abrams, and Gillian Anderson. The episodes were directed by a murderer's row of genre directors and are gore-geous in a way that has never been replicated on network TV.
But wait, that's not all. Tubi has films like the original 13 Ghosts, David Lynch's Blue Velvet, Stephen King's IT, and the zombie romance Warm Bodies. There's so much romance at Tubi this month.
The Descent: Part 2
IT (Stephen King's)
My Bloody Galentine
Prey for the Bride
