“WOLFCOP” Gets One Hell of a Poster from The Dude Designs

wolfcopdudeposter1

Tom Hodge, aka The Dude Designs, is one of the preeminent artists of the current resurgence of respect and celebration of damn fine poster art, and he’s hopped aboard the rapidly approaching, mad movie WOLFCOP. It’s what it sounds like, and the artwork is sufficiently rad.

WOLFCOP is the premiere feature from Canadian studio Cinecoup and their Film Accelerator program, in which filmmaking teams apply with “a two-minute trailer, then advance through a gamified selection funnel that’s designed to package their projects and build fan support on the CineCoup social web platform.” Last year’s winner was director Lowell Dean and the WOLFCOP project and the end result will hit Canadian Cineplex theaters June 6, 2014.

In the film,  it’s not unusual for alcoholic cop Lou Garou to black out and wake up in unfamiliar surroundings, but lately things have taken a strange turn…crime scenes seem oddly familiar, Lou’s senses are heightened and when the full moon is out, he’s a rage-fueled werewolf.
