Win free tickets to NYC’s Totally 80’s Movie Freak Out!

What’s better than a marathon of six ’80s films of assorted genres in a row? Getting to see them for free! Read on to find out how you can win free tickets to the Totally 80’s Movie Freak Out in New York City this weekend.

The sextuple feature of 35mm flicks, organized by Grady Hendrix, takes place this Saturday, January 18 starting at 12:30 p.m. at Anthology Film Archives (32 2nd Avenue at 2nd Street), and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to a lucky Fangorian. The identities of the movies (three of which have never been on U.S. video) are being kept secret, with just these descriptions being offered: “A trucker movie if Hitchcock made trucker movies, a juvenile delinquent film about punk rockers, a slasher film made by one of the most acclaimed and controversial art-house directors of all time, a forgotten cop film based on a cult-classic 1984 novel, a cocaine-soaked musical set in one confined location, and a barely-released blaxploitation flick set in Harlem that might be one of the best thrillers of the decade.”

Want to find out what they are? To enter to win the two tix, send an e-mail to FANGORIAScreening@gmail.com and be sure to put “80s Movies” in the subject line and include your full name and e-mail address. Deadline for entries is midnight this Wednesday, January 15, and we will notify the winner the following day via e-mail; tickets will be held at the box office in his or her name.
