Video Premiere: CODE ORANGE – “Dreams In Inertia”

codeorangefeat

In which FANGORIA debuts the new video from youthful hardcore heroes, Code Orange.

Code Orange are something, a force. The Pittsburgh-based band broke out with 2012 full length LOVE IS LOVE // RETURN TO DUST. introducing heavy fans to a creative jolt; an unpredictable, thrilling blend of hardcore, death, noise, poetic struggle and so on. LOVE IS LOVE played like a ferocious, snarling beast, alternating the soundtrack of all out assault and the anticipatory dread of lying in wait.

Now comes I AM KING.

Produced by Kurt Ballou (of all-timers Converge), I AM KING sees Code Orange push even further into an oncoming storm of aural motherfuck. First single, “I Am King” was accompanied by a cinematic aura and a graphic, frenetic video.

Here then, is follow-up, “Dreams in Inertia,” directed by Max Moore. Admittedly mellower (for a spell), the video for “Dreams in Intertia” is full of occult vibes and lo-fi creep. I’m pleased to debut it here on Fango for Thinners of the Herd and new fans alike.

I AM KING is out September 2nd, 2014 on Deathwish. For more, find videos for “I Am King,” as well as Code Orange’s full set from last month’s This is Hardcore in Philadelphia (they tear shit up) below. Code Orange is touring with the great Twitching Tongues this fall, dates follow.

“No boxes. No boundaries. No fear. The I AM KING mindset. Dreams in Inertia.” – Code Orange
