“TWIN PEAKS” Blu Set to Contain “FIRE WALK WITH ME” Deleted Scenes; Teaser Video

This July, the influential, enrapturing TWIN PEAKS comes to Blu-ray in its entirety. Yes, that includes masterpiece TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME and now it’s been revealed it also includes the famed and highly desired FIRE WALK WITH ME deleted scenes.

EW announced today TWIN PEAKS: THE ENTIRE MYSTERY will arrive July 29th on Blu-ray and, in an exclusive teaser video, premiered footage of the nearly 90 minutes of deleted and alternate material from TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME. Remastered, and looking stunning, the video flashes glimpses of more Phillip Jeffries, more Harry Truman, more Log Lady, etc. David Lynch, who co-created TWIN PEAKS alongside Mark Frost, said, “During the last days in the life of Laura Palmer many things happened, which have never been seen before. They’re here now alongside the new transfer of TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME and TWIN PEAKS, the television series.”

TWIN PEAKS, of course, revolved around the titular town in the aftermath of the death of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). Enigmatic, frightening and often hilarious, the series was a phenomenon before  burning out in its second season. After its television conclusion, Lynch sought to tell the story of Laura Palmer’s final days in FIRE WALK WITH ME, radically altering the tone to something entirely more unsettling. The film remains a truly stunning piece of work, and will likely be revealed as even more so on Blu.
