Trailer: The Village Sacrifice and Pottery of “JUG FACE”

In JUG FACE, the red pit in the center of a backwoods village demands blood once a year, taking possession of a simple potter and outlining the face of the chosen on a jug. This particular year, and in this particular film, it chooses the young pregnant-by-her-brother Ada. Strange stuff abound.

Directed by Chad Crawford Kinkle, JUG FACE premiered earlier this year at the Slamdance Film Festival where I quite liked it. Laura Ashley Carter stars as Ada who, privy to her visage on the jug, hides the pottery and only exacerbates the pit. Larry Fessenden and Sean Young co-star. Andrew van den Houten (OFFSPRING, THE WOMAN) and his Modernciné produce.

JUG FACE is in On Demand July 8th and in limited theatrical release August 9. For more, see our review here.
