Trailer: See the Stunning, Bleak Landscape of Norwegian Sci-Fi, “MORGENRØDE (DAWN)”

Norwegian writer-director Anders Elsrud Hultgreen wrote Fango with the new international trailer for his MORGENRØDE (DAWN), a film which looks like tough, somber post-apocalyptic cinema.

Set to World Premiere this September 30th at Norway’s Bergen International Film Festival, followed by an International Premiere at the Reykjavik International Film Festival only hours later, MORGENRØDE seems simply stunning. Described as “a mythological post-apocalypse film about faith, worldview, the beyond and the doomed, delirious struggle against dehydration in a water-polluted world years after a global fall,” MORGENRØDE “follow two survivors who eye each other with the same depraved mutual suspicion as they contemplate their inhospitable surroundings.”

The Film Guide at the aforementioned Bergen International Film Festival calls MORGENRØDE “the most artistically ambitious Norwegian sci-fi film ever.” Does this gloomy, harsh landscape and unreal vibe get you? It does, me.
