Trailer: Joe Johnston’s Blumhouse Thriller, “NOT SAFE FOR WORK”


Teaming with producer Jason Blum, director Joe Johnston, whose last genre effort was the much maligned THE WOLFMAN remake, returns to the horror landscape with a film about an assassin looking to retrieve witness files from a law firm and the lowly office worker who must stop him. Now, we have our first look…

There’s a certain level of cautious anticipation for NOT SAFE FOR WORK, the thriller which producer Jason Blum famously withdrew from theatrical release (read more on that here). Starring Max Minghella, Eloise Mumford, JJ Feild, and Michael Gladis, the film is set to drop APril 15th on DVD and VOD from Universal Studios, and the somewhat-spoilery first trailer doesn’t inspire much confidence. Johnston is a capable and great director with the right script however, and the cast has done excellent work in previous films, so perhaps we’ll be positively surprised come April. The Unrated DVD is currently available for preorder, in case you’d like to find out for yourself.
