This week, Toys of Terror has something for the model car collectors, as we present Mattel’s Hot Wheels Heritage 1:18 Scale Ecto-1 from GHOSTBUSTERS! Based on the 1959 Miller-Meteor Cadillac limo-style ambulance used in the film, this die-cast recreation appears to be a sturdier replica than Mattel’s Elite Ecto-1 from earlier this year and would be the perfect gift to coincide with the film’s 30th anniversary. Whether it’s for yourself or your most beloved GHOSTBUSTERS fan, you can get the Hot Wheels Heritage Ecto-1 for $79.99 here.
Our next Toy of Terror comes from Distinctive Dummies, who boast an impressive, rare figure of Vincent Price as Paul Toombes in the film MADHOUSE! Crafted by artist Steve Thompson and featuring a removable hat, retro clamshell packaging and pro-print card art, only 50 of Amicus’ reluctant hero have been produced.Vincent Price die-hards can own this hand-numbered chilling collectible for $80 (which includes worldwide shipping) here.
Here, one of Lucio Fulci’s most gloriously psychedelic films gets an equally creepy bobblehead! That’s right, Cult Collectibles and Grindhouse Releasing has this “Jill” bobblehead-style figure from THE BEYOND, standing at a lightweight 7-inches and coming with an alternate “possessed” face. Limited to 1000 figures and coming with a free 33-track CD Soundtrack from THE BEYOND graphic novel, North American fans of Fulci can get this “Weird Wobbler” here for $16.95.
Now, something for old-school zombie film fans: Max Factory’s replica of zombified Stephen from DAWN OF THE DEAD! Styled after David Emge’s iconic undead look, Stephen comes with three different replaceable expressions, attachable blood-spray and even a head-replica of the film’s “Machete” zombie. Stephen also includes a figma stand for posing and smooth, detachable joints. You can pre-order this DAWN OF THE DEAD collectible, which formally ships in September, for $59.99 here.
