Toronto: Win Tix to See “ROBOCOP” in TIFF’s Paul Verhoeven Series!

Toronto’s main cinema institution at the TIFF Bell Lightbox has an unending supply of very cool stem to stern spotlights on cult cinema heroes and their latest, on Dutch director Paul Verhoeven, is no exception.

Running now until April 4th, FLESH + BLOOD: THE FILMS OF PAUL VERHOEVEN starts in the early days, with his Dutch masterpieces SPETTERS, TURKISH DELIGHT and THE FOURTH MAN through his first foray into Hollywood with FLESH + BLOOD through such revolutionary sci-fi gems as STARSHIP TROOPERS, erotic pulp like BASIC INSTINCT and of course, climaxing—literally—with his camp lap-dance legend SHOWGIRLS.

But of course, the mamma jamma of Verhoeven’s long resume is his super-violent 1987 dystopian sci-fi satire ROBOCOP, starring Peter Weller as a good cop Frankenstein-ed into a cyborg lawman against his will with darkly funny, shocking and thrilling results.

FANGORIA wants to give a pair of tix away to the already near-sold out show of ROBOCOP in 35mm on Friday, March 7th at 9:30pm. To win, send chris@fangoria.com and email with your favorite ROBOCOP line in the subject line. The winner will be chosen at random.

Good luck… creep!
