Toronto: Meet Romero, Russo and Streiner this weekend for “NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD LIVE!”
The good lads behind Toronto’s smash stage hit NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD LIVE are back in action just in time for Halloween, currently running as we speak once again in the city’s storied theatre, THEATRE PASSE MURAILLES. And though still playing as a serio-comic adaptation of George A. Romero’s seminal 1968 shocker—complete with eerie black and white sets and costumes as well as imitation scratch score music—this round, the team at Nictophobia Films have altered the beat somewhat.
The slightly revamped NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD LIVE is much tighter, with added special guests to the show like Paul Amos (LOST GIRL) and Mitch Markowitz (HILARIOUS HOUSE OF FRIGHTENSTEIN), all of which have appearances on select nights.
And as a special treat, this Friday, October 18th and Saturday October 19th will see the trinity of terror who made the original film, appear on-stage for a post-show Q&A.
That’s right, George A. Romero himself along with co-writer, producer John Russo and co-star, producer Russ Streiner will appear to meet the fans after the 7:00 P.M shows on Friday October 18th (moderated by FANGORIA editor Chris Alexander) and Saturday October 19th (moderated by RAISING HELL: Ken Russell and The Un-Making of THE DEVILS author Richard Crouse). Each Q&A will begin at 9 p.m. and run for an hour, leaving plenty of time for the crowd to ask questions from the iconic three.
Ticket prices are $80.00, or $75 for students and seniors. The gang are also running a “What a Mess!” promotion that gives pundits 20% off when you mention that promo code over the phone or in person at the Box office.
