The opening of BBC America’s clone thriller “ORPHAN BLACK” is now online

How surreal might it be to see yourself die? How surreal might it be to learn you’re a clone? ORPHAN BLACK, the new BBC America series from GINGER SNAPS director John Fawcett and CUBE writer Graeme Manson, leaves its lead Sarah feeling both kinds of unsettled in its opening moments, which are online now prior to its premiere on March 30.

In ORPHAN BLACK, Tatiana Maslany plays Sarah, an outsider and orphan whose life changes dramatically after witnessing the suicide of a woman who looks just like her. Sarah assumes her identity, her boyfriend and her bank account. But instead of solving her problems, the street-smart chameleon is thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery. She makes the dizzying discovery that she and the dead woman are clones…but are they the only ones? Sarah quickly finds herself caught in the middle of a deadly conspiracy, racing to find answers.

The show debuts on Saturday, March 30 at 9 p.m./8 Central a part of BBC America’s Supernatural Saturday block, which also includes the return of DOCTOR WHO and the premiere of Chris Hardwick’s THE NERDIST. Look for a preview of ORPHAN BLACK in Fango #322, on sale later this month.
