The Ghost Stays In The Picture in the “PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION” Trailer

It’s been so strange to watch PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, the literally micro-budget fright flick that reignited both the found footage and haunted house genres, turn into the “little franchise that could.” Equipped with budgets even smaller than the annual SAW films that came before them, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY has had their fair share of hits and misses but left off on a high and ambitious note in the closing moments of THE MARKED ONES. Now, the long-in-development sixth (and, according to producer Jason Blum, final) chapter of the franchise, entitled THE GHOST DIMENSION, finally has a trailer and luckily, it looks absolutely bonkers.

Now, at first glance, I’m sure THE GHOST DIMENSION is going to divide fans of the franchise: not only is the film going to be in 3D, but it’s going to show the “ghosts” for the first time in the franchise so far, all of whom appear to be CGI heavy (which essentially goes against the franchise’s original ‘how did they do that?’ allure). Nevertheless, the Gregory Plotkin-directed film is going to bold places to answer the questions posited in the last three PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films, and from the looks of things, the occult-driven finale looks to be bigger than ever this time around. You can check out the first trailer for the film below; PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION opens on October 23rd.
