Gabriel Carrer’s “THE DEMOLISHER” Wraps, New StillsMovies/TV,News Samuel Zimmerman
Gabriel Carrer, the Canadian indie filmmaker behind IF A TREE FALLS and IN THE HOUSE OF FLIES has wrapped production on THE DEMOLISHER, his take on the man-against-the-streets, dark descent vigilante tale.
In THE DEMOLISHER, Bruce (Ry Barrett) is “an ordinary repairman tormented by a crippling sense of responsibility for his disabled wife Samantha (Tianna Nori), a former policewoman and survivor of a gang-related assault. Bruce’s increasing hyper-sensitivity to the injustice suffered by his wife steers him down a dark path of vigilantism. His rapidly disintegrating mental health, paranoia and overwhelming sense of condemnation, Bruce channels his inner-rage, punishing young woman, Marie (Jessica Vano), and finding refuge in a world of intense violence.”
While a trailer has yet to be unveiled, the host of new images does a fine job of previewing THE DEMOLISHER’S aesthetics, from noirish composition, to the onset of madness, to the streets stalked by a harsh figure.
THE DEMOLISHER is currently in post-production. For more on the film, visit its official Facebook page. Below, find the new images as well as a sample of its score by Future Funk Squad.
