SXSW ’14 Preview: New Photos, “THE PACT” Director’s “HOME”

Director Nicholas McCarthy found a good deal of fanfare in festival haunter THE PACT, leaving plenty of audiences curious what he’d get up to next. SXSW 2014 is where we find out. The festival’s midnight section will host the world premiere of HOME, another supernatural story from McCarthy and one with a strong cast including GLEE’s Naya Rivera and MAGIC MAGIC standout Catalina Sandino Moreno.

In HOME, “ambitious young real estate agent Leigh is asked to sell a house with a checkered past. There, she crosses paths with a disturbed girl whom she learns is the runaway daughter of the couple selling the property.  When Leigh tries to intervene and help her, she becomes entangled with a supernatural force that soon pulls Leigh’s artist sister VERA into its web — and has sinister plans for both of them.”

HOME premieres Sunday, March 9 at the Stateside Theatre at 11:59 p.m. as part of SXSW. Further screenings follow on Tuesday, March 11 and Friday, March 14. For more on the film, see here.
