SXSW Chiller “PET” Uncages First ClipMovies/TV,News Ken W. Hanley
UPDATE/CORRECTION: On the August 22nd Edition of BLOOD LUST, producer Brian Yuzna told FANGO:
“I’m a part of a Spanish Company called Magic Lantern and we’re producing a project called PET, directed by Carles Torrens and starring Dominic Monaghan, Ksenia Solo, Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Parsons. It’s about a guy who works at an animal rescue in L.A., and he takes on a girl as a pet. Of course, things turn bad. That’s something to look out for.”
We are now being told by the film’s publicists that, despite Magic Lantern still having credit on the film, Brian Yuzna was not involved in the production and are kindly asking for us to make corrections reflecting that request. We are including Yuzna’s quote for context and are updating the article as such.
Earlier today, Deadline premiered the first publicly released footage from the fright flick PET, directed by Carles Torrens, which follows a demented man (Dominic Monaghan) who takes the object of his affection (Ksenia Solo) captive in a cage below the animal shelter in which he works, only for the plan to go in an unexpected and dark place. Featuring a script from THE EXORCIST TV series creator Jeremy Slater, FX by mastermind Gary J. Tunnicliffe and supporting turns by Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Parsons, PET will premiere during SXSW this Friday, March 11th at Midnight. Until then, you can check out the clip below and stay tuned for more on PET here at FANGORIA.com!
