Stanley Film Festival ’15: Full List of Events Announced!

,

If you’re a die-hard horror fan, to whom no haunted house or fright flick is too scary, you’re likely familiar with the Stanley Film Festival, which has quickly risen to become one of the most immersive film festival experiences out there. And with only 30 days before the festival kicks off at the famed Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, the festival has finally announced it’s illustrious event schedule, offering both old and new features for adventurous fright fans.

Of the returning features, the Stanley Film Festival’s crown jewel, the Immersion Horror Game, will be held once more, and will be both free and open to the public. With an all-new narrative, the real-life game uses its participants as its protagonists, blurring the lines between fiction and reality with the hotel itself at the center of the story. Look out for more information on the immersion game in part three of our exclusive chat with Stanley Film Festival Director of Programming Landon Zakheim (with the first two parts available here and here).

Also returning will be Glass Eye Pix’s excellent radio play TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE, which was one of the highlights of last year’s festival. Produced by Larry Fessenden and Glenn McQuaid, the Stanley edition of the festival will feature performances from the guests of the festival as well as a live performance by Denver-based band Munly & the Lupercalians. TALES will be open to SFF Redrum & Horror Marathon badge holders, while individual tickets can be purchased beginning April 2nd for $13 for DFS member and locals and $15 for non-members

Other events include DEAD RIGHT HORROR TRIVIA, hosted by Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek and Shock Till You Drop’s Sam Zimmerman, Clay McLeod Chapman’s THE PUMPKIN PIE SHOW, the Horror Brunch and Awards Ceremony, a 40th anniversary ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW screening, and the 13th Floor Haunted House as well as performances by Ian Cooke, the Itchy-O Marching Band, Snake Rattle Rattle Snake and Bad Luck City. Furthermore, guests at the festival will also have in-room channels curated by Stanley Film Festival, allowing the obscure, the absurd and the terrifying to ooze into your in-room experience.

As a proud media sponsor of the 2015 Stanley Film Festival, we can’t wait to go back and experience what’s in store this year. You can get your tickets and passes while supplies last here. Be there.
