Stanley Film Festival ’15: Full Film Schedule Announced!


With the report earlier this week that the Stanley Film Festival announced it’s full event slate, it was only a matter of time before they revealed what frightening films they had in store. But little did FANGORIA know that the announcement would come hours later, and Stanley looks to be bringing some top tier scare fare to the supposedly haunted hotel!

Among the features and festival favorites lined up this year at the 2015 Stanley Film Festival are:

  • Dan Berk’s story of murder and betrayal, BODY, starring V/H/S actress Helen Rogers & Glass Eye Pix’s Larry Fessenden
  • Craig McNeill’s chilling child horror THE BOY, produced by Elijah Wood’s SpectreVision
  • Jason Lei Howden’s metalhead splatter-comedy DEATHGASM, from the producers of HOUSEBOUND.
  • Tim Kirk’s unique and revelatory documentary DIRECTOR’S COMMENTARY: THE TERROR OF FRANKENSTEIN
  • Severin Fiala & Veronika Franz’s family mutiny horror GOODNIGHT MOMMY
  • Future CROW director Corin Hardy’s gory creature fable THE HALLOW
  • Ham Tran’s Vietnamese resurrection horror HOLLOW

Stanley also has one hell of a retrospective line-up, including a free family screening of THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN as well as screenings of DIABOLIQUE, REPULSION, SHIVERS and a 30th anniversary screening of RE-ANIMATOR followed by a Q&A with Stuart Gordon and Mick Garris. Furthermore, there will be no less than 2 short film showcases, featuring excellent short films from around the world including HUFF favorite CROW’S HAND.
