Spend a “LONG WEEKEND” with Aussie cult classic on Synapse Blu-ray


The beauty and terror of nature will be even sharper and more colorful as the Australian chiller LONG WEEKEND makes its Blu-ray debut this spring.

Synapse Films has revealed cover art and details for its hi-def disc of LONG WEEKEND, which streets April 14. Directed by Colin Eggleston from a screenplay by PATRICK’s Everett DeRoche, the movie is a slow-burning, truly unsettling study of a young couple (John Hargreaves and Briony Behets) who go on a seaside outing, carelessly despoiling the environment—until the local animal life begins turning on them. The disc will include a 2.35:1 1080p transfer from original vault materials, with remastered DTS-HD MA 5.1 Surround audio, plus the following special features:

• Audio commentry by producer Richard Brennan and cinematographer Vincent Monton
• Motion still gallery featuring an audio interview with actor John Hargreaves
• Original theatrical trailer
