Ransone to Return in “SINISTER 2”

James Ransone, who played the dutiful deputy continuously goofed on by Ethan Hawke in SINISTER will return for its sequel, co-starring with Shannyn Sossamon in the Ciaran Foy-directed film.

Deadline reports Ransone will reprise his role as the deputy for Foy (CITADEL), while Sossamon stars as a “protective mother who moves with her 9-year-old twin sons into a rural house that’s marked for death.”

Original SINISTER director Scott Derrickson co-writes with C. Robert Cargill. Jason Blum produces. Ransone will be also be seen in the upcoming Blum-produced, Ti West-directed IN A VALLEY OF VIOLENCE.
