“SILENT HILLS” Successor “DEATH STRANDING” Announced at E3!Books/Art/Culture,News Ken W. Hanley
Last year, the world of horror gaming was delivered a bitter blow when it was announced that SILENT HILLS, the console reboot from the minds of Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima (starring THE WALKING DEAD’s Norman Reedus), would be scrapped following a falling-out between Kojima and publisher Konami. Ever since, the signs of salvation for the project in one form or another have been limited, to say the least, and fans assumed the worst following the abrupt cancellation of Konami’s ALLISON ROAD. However, as it turns out, Kojima himself has yet to give up the ghost, and at least two-thirds of SILENT HILLS will be reuniting for Kojima Productions’ DEATH STRANDING, as revealed at E3!
So what is DEATH STRANDING? While information is quite limited at the moment, you can check out the creepy, NSFW teaser trailer for the project below…
The first release under the Kojima Productions’ banner, DEATH STRANDING will be coming exclusively to Playstation 4 later this year. The project is written by Kojima and Hitori Nojima, and is designed by Mark Cerny (KILLZONE 3). Stay tuned for more on DEATH STRANDING as soon as it becomes available here at FANGORIA.com!
