Sideshow Pictures launches new Halloween short “CHILDREN OF THE WITCH”
With October around the corner, the Sideshow Pictures team are at it again, gearing up for their annual short Halloween horror film. Read on to find out more, and how you can contribute to the crowd-funding.
Following 2011’s NIGHT OF THE PUMPKIN and last year’s THE HOUSE THAT CRIED BLOOD, director Frank Sabatella (who also helmed the feature BLOOD NIGHT: THE LEGEND OF MARY HATCHET) is getting ready to roll CHILDREN OF THE WITCH on Long Island. Sabatella also scripted, based on a story he wrote with Marc Schoenbach of Sadist Art Designs; Frank Mosca produces and the cast is headed by BLOOD NIGHT’s Samantha Hahn, with Jeremy Selenfriend handling the makeup FX. The story, set on Halloween night, of course, concerns an all-girls’ slumber party that is invaded by trick-or-treaters from the turn of the century who have been raised from the grave by a vengeful witch. “This one is going to be a lot of fun,” Sabatella tells Fango, “and will have more blood, more girls and more creeps than any of our previous Halloween efforts! We are also giving out some great rewards on our Kickstarter page, so please check it out and spread the blood!”
That Kickstarter page, set up to raise money for all aspects of the project from pre- to postproduction (and including a pretty funny and NSFW promo video), can be found here; rewards include onscreen credits, signed scripts, props and more.
