See stunning images from “A FIELD IN ENGLAND” in new TV Spot

The highly anticipated new film from Ben Wheatley (KILL LIST, SIGHTSEERS) will be something of an event when it releases in the UK. Hitting cinemas, DVD, VOD and television broadcast all on the same day, the latest promo highlights the unique premiere, as well as some fantastic looks at the psychedelic period piece.

Excitingly billed as a “psychedelic trip into magic and madness,” A FIELD IN ENGLAND is set in England, 1648 AD. “A small group of deserters flee from a raging battle through an overgrown field. They are captured by two men: O’Neil and Cutler. O’Neil (Michael Smiley), an alchemist, forces the group to aid him in his search to find a hidden treasure that he believes is buried in the field. Crossing a vast mushroom circle, which provides their first meal, the group quickly descend into a chaos of arguments, fighting and paranoia, and, as it becomes clear that the treasure might be something other than gold, they slowly become victim to the terrifying energies trapped inside the field.”

Maneuvering between the close and confrontational, and the stark, wide and gorgeous, the latest from Wheatley looks breathtaking. A FIELD IN ENGLAND will debut in the UK on all platforms on July 5. It hits the U.S. later this year from Drafthouse Films.
