Sean Hogan’s “THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS” To Finally Hit U.S. DVD/Blu

In 2011, UK filmmaker Sean Hogan’s intimate, literary, theatrical horror film THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS made festival rounds here in the U.S. An atmospheric, captivating work that finds two hitmen arrive at the home of their target and discuss life as they wait, unknowingly, for a horrific end, THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS unfortunately found no U.S. distribution in the wake of its run. Exciting news then, that the great folk at Mondo Macabro DVD will give the film just that this fall.

Announced on their official home as one of the company’s first two Blu releases, THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS will arrive in a DVD/Combo pack this October 14. Features include an interview with writer/director Sean Hogan and producer Jennifer Handorf, Director and Producer audio commentary, interview with actor Billy Clarke, interview with composer Justin Greaves, Behind the Scenes, music videos Crippled Black Phoenix and Se Delan, Outtakes and Mondo Macabro trailers.

In THE DEVIL’S BUSINESS, “Veteran hitman Pinner (Billy Clarke) and his young, inexperienced ward Cully (Jack Gordon) break into a house at night, awaiting the return of owner Kist (Jonathan Hansler) whom their gangland boss Bruno (Harry Miller) wants dead, with no questions asked. As midnight approaches, Pinner keeps the nervous Cully entertained with an eerie story about a previous hit he had carried out on a beautiful striptease dancer. Before he can finish his tale, a sound from outside the house draws them into the night, and to a horrifying discovery that plunges them into the shadowy darkness of their own tortured souls. The Devil hasn’t finished with them yet…”

I’d love to see this eerie film find a strong audience, and hope you’ll check it out when the time comes. See cover art, below and for more, visit Mondo Macabro.
