The flood of genre disc releases from Shout! Factory’s Scream Factory line just doesn’t stop, and details have been revealed for a couple of December titles, with art unveiled for those and more.

Coming December 17 on Blu-ray are THE BEAST WITHIN (pictured above), Philippe Mora’s shocker scripted by Tom Holland about a young man (Paul Clemens) who transforms into a swamp creature, with memorable Tom Burman FX and a supporting cast including Ronny Cox, L.Q. Jones and R.G. Armstrong, and CRAWLSPACE, David Schmoeller’s study of a voyeuristic, murderous landlord played by Klaus Kinski. Both will be presented in 1080p high-definition widescreen (2.35:1 on BEAST, 1.85:1 on CRAWLSPACE) with DTS-HD Master Audio, plus the following supplements:

Retail price is $19.97 each, but you can pre-order BEAST and CRAWLSPACE from the Shout! site for $16.98 each. Also coming in December, a week earlier on the 10th, is a TV TERRORS Double Feature, pairing the supernatural sorority saga THE INITIATION OF SARAH, featuring Kay Lenz, Morgan Fairchild, Shelley Winters and Tisa Farrow, and ARE YOU IN THE HOUSE ALONE!, in which Kathleen Beller plays a terrorized high-schooler, on one DVD for $14.97 (or pre-order for $13.98).

Further down the line are a pair of favorites from the Universal vault in Blu-ray Collector’s Editions: Paul Schrader’s CAT PEOPLE on January 21, and Sam Raimi’s DARKMAN on February 18. Full details have yet to be revealed; each one will retail for $29.93, but you can pre-order CAT PEOPLE and DARKMAN from Shout for $21.95 apiece, and the first 200 orders come with an exclusive 18×24” poster featuring the newly commissioned cover artwork.
