Scream Factory Announces Summer of Fear Webcast Screenings

Looking at their slate of upcoming releases, fright fans have one hell of a summer awaiting them thanks to specialty genre film distributor Scream Factory. In addition to their awesome schedule which includes cult classics such as LAKE PLACID, THE PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE, MOTEL HELL and GINGER SNAPS, Scream Factory has announced a duo of promotions that will help make your summer a little scarier.

Starting June 6th, Scream Factory will be launching their Summer of Fear “Drive-In” Experience, using three consecutive Friday nights to host special online screenings of select Scream Factory titles at the Summer of Fear website and their official Youtube Channel. The label is putting their unique skills into action by recreating the drive-in theater feel for these screenings, adding in coming attractions, vintage refreshment ads and never-before-seen interstitials from talent associated with the films. What’s more, viewers will be able to interact with Scream Factory and fans on social media platforms with the hashtag #summeroffear during the screenings as well.

The announced schedule for the webcast starts with ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 presented by John Carpenter on June 6th, followed by NIGHT OF THE DEMONS presented by Kevin Tenney and Amelia Kinkade on June 13th and WITCHBOARD presented by Kevin Tenney on June 20th. Each screening starts at 7:00 p.m. PST / 10:00 p.m. EST and will be streamed live to the aforementioned platforms.

Fans of Scream Factory’s discs will also have a chance to acquire them at low prices during their corresponding Summer of Fear ‘Six-Pack’ sale, where each week throughout the month of June, six selected titles will be on sale. Not only will these deals put some of these titles at their lowest price point ever, but exclusive Scream Factory custom-made coasters will come with these films while supplies last.

Personally speaking, Scream Factory knows how to put out a quality product for die-hard horror fans, and hopefully these promotions live up to the brand’s name. And don’t forget to keep an eye out for the sale date of  FANGORIA Presents: Scream Factory magazine, which hits later this summer as well!
