Michael Gingold has been a member of the FANGORIA team for the past three decades. After starting as a writer for the magazine in 1988, he came aboard as associate editor in 1990 and two years later moved up to managing editor. He now serves as editor-in-chief of the magazine while continuing to contribute numerous articles and reviews, as well as a contributing editor/writer for this website.

A producer with numerous genre credits died tragically earlier this month, and a memorial service will take place tomorrow in California.
Geza Decsy, whose credits include Paul Hough’s survival-horror film THE HUMAN RACE, the Booth Brothers’ supernatural thriller DEAD STILL, the Verne Troyer-starrer GNOME ALONE and the recently released vampire film NOCTURNA, was involved in an aviation accident on Sunday, December 6. An avid flyer, he was a passenger in an aerobatic jet that caught fire on a runway in Apple Valley, CA, killing him and pilot Mike Mangold. Decsy will be truly missed by the many people who know and worked with him; the memorial will take place at Hollywood Rentals, 12800 Foothill Boulevard, Sylmar, CA tomorrow, with arrivals at 1 p.m., the memorial at 2 p.m. and a reception at 3 p.m. You can find more information on Facebook.
