“RAVENOUS” for a Blu-ray? Feast on some cover art!

Antonia Bird’s bracing cannibalism opus RAVENOUS never got the attention it deserved in theaters, but has built a following of fans who’ve been hungry for a hi-def release—and they’re going to be sated this summer. Read on for the info and an advance look at the cover.

Shout! Factory has announced via Facebook that it will release RAVENOUS on Blu-ray in June under its Scream Factory banner. All-new extras will be included, though details haven’t been confirmed at this point. Bird, who passed away last year, guided a great, eclectic cast in RAVENOUS, including Robert Carlyle, Guy Pearce, Jeffrey Jones, David Arquette and Jeremy Davies. We’ll bring you more details as we get ’em.

Yeah, that’s some piss-poor cover art, alright.

Was looking to order this on DVD through Amazon last night. Glad I held off! Keep up the great work Shout Factory!

An Uncut version would be nice, but I’m not expecting it. The cover sucks, but so did the dvd version.

Absolute classic with an amazing soundtrack. Agree that cover is pretty bad though. If the cover needed a third character (and lets face it, there didn’t need to be a third from this movie) it should not have been Arquette.
