“PUNISHER’s” Ray Stevenson feels the chill of “COLD SKIN”

Ray Stevenson, who essayed what many feel is the big screen’s best Frank Castle in PUNISHER: WAR ZONE, is now taking the lead in a horror-thriller called COLD SKIN.

Variety reports that Stevenson and David Oakes are starring in COLD SKIN, directed by Xavier Gens of FRONTIER(S), THE DIVIDE and HITMAN. Scripted by Jesús Olmo, one of the writers of 28 WEEKS LATER, from the novel by Albert Sánchez Piñol, the movie is set on an island in the Antarctic Circle post-WWI, and follows a young man to a remote weather station, where he is to replace the current observer. Instead, he encounters a deranged castaway who has witnessed a horror he won’t name, but that the newcomer is fated to discover. Aura Garrido co-stars; two-time Oscar winner Gil Parrondo is production designer and GAME OF THRONES’ Ranchito is handling the visual FX. COLD SKIN is currently shooting in Spain, and will shift to the Canary Islands later this month before then moving on to Iceland.
