Even the undead can have maternal feelings, as seen in an exclusive image from PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES that you can check out past the jump.

Coming from Screen Gems February 5, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES was written and directed by Burr Steers, based on the best-selling novel in which author Seth Grahame-Smith set a trend by turning Jane Austen’s time-honored landmark into a horror story. Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Matt Smith, Charles Dance and Lena Headey star; two-time Oscar winner Mark Coulier supervised the prosthetic FX. The synopsis: “A zombie outbreak has fallen upon the land in this reimagining of Jane Austen’s classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th-century England. Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet [James] is a master of martial arts and weaponry and the handsome Mr. Darcy [Sam Riley] is a fierce zombie killer, yet the epitome of upper-class prejudice. As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the bloodsoaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all.”
