Having made an impression with both its poetic source material and haunting teaser, Ben Aston’s “practical FX fairytale” HE TOOK HIS SKIN OFF FOR ME is nearing completion and has debuted its official poster in anticipation of a forthcoming world premiere announcement.

Boasting some very neat FX work that adorns star Sebastian Armesto, there’s little denying HE TOOK HIS SKIN OFF FOR ME seems striking, from the imagery to its terrifically blunt, yet lyrical title. The film, based on a short story by Maria Hummer (who adapted for the screen), is about a man who takes his skin off for his girlfriend, and why it probably wasn’t the best idea“Is this what you want? he asked, and I said yes, so he took his skin off for me.” He hangs the loose skin in the closet and comes downstairs to join his girlfriend at the dinner table. This whole thing seems like a good idea.  He’s become what she always wanted him to be. But it’s not all perfect.

You can find the previous teaser for HE TOOK HIS SKIN OFF FOR ME, below. The film is just about finished and director Aston tells Fango it will have its festival premiere this June. Expect full details in the coming days. For more, visit the official Facebook.
